Die Hydnophora grandis ist eine recht leicht zu haltende Steinkoralle die zu den “Lang Polypigen Steinkorallen” kurz LPS zählt.
Sie ernährt sich hauptsächlich von ihren Zooxanthellen. Also durch das ihr gebotene Licht. Allerdings fängt auch sie Plankton aus dem Wasser.
