Diese Scheibenanemonenart ernährt sich fast ausschließlich von ihren Zooxanthellen. Doch filtert sie auch Plankton aus dem Wasser. Sie wächst sehr schnell und braucht somit ausreichend Platz im Aquarium. Mit ihrem Nesselgift welches recht stark ist, vernesselt sie angrenzende Tiere um sich Platz zum wachsen zu sichern.
